Hazem Inspects Flood-Affected Areas in Sungai Manila

SANDAKAN: State Assemblyman for Sungai Manila, Hazem Mubarak Musa, has conducted an on-the-ground inspection of several locations affected by flooding following continuous rainfall over the past few days.

He commenced the visit at the Sungai Buaya Base area, where he visited residents’ homes inundated with water, assessed the extent of damage, and identified urgent needs of the victims. Particular attention was also given to the condition of the bridge in the area to ensure safety and continued access for residents.

In Peringkat Satu, Hazem not only offered support to families impacted by the flood but also took time to visit an elderly resident. The visit continued to Peringkat Lima to review several other affected houses.

Additionally, he visited two homes in Kampung Jawa before proceeding to Pekan Muhibbah to observe the flood situation affecting residents in that area.

The purpose of the visit was to gain a comprehensive understanding of the disaster’s impact and to ensure that follow-up actions and aid can be coordinated more effectively for the welfare of those affected.
