SANDAKAN: Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Vice President Chong Thien Ming visited Jalan BDC to inspect the ongoing road patching works.
Chong revealed that he had reported the pothole issue to Mr Chu from Globinaco on Monday, and by Tuesday, a repair team had already been deployed to begin the patching works.
He praised the GRS government’s consistent efforts in maintaining and upgrading roads across main routes, residential neighbourhoods, and commercial areas. Chong stressed that road issues in Sandakan Town should not be politicised by the opposition, as the public can clearly see the continuous repair, patching, and resealing works carried out over recent years.
He also urged Sandakan residents to distinguish between false claims and genuine updates, criticising opposition parties for seeking cheap publicity in the lead-up to the upcoming PRN17 election.
Chong reaffirmed his commitment to monitoring road conditions throughout Sandakan Town to ensure all repair works are completed to a high standard for the benefit of the community.
