KUALA LUMPUR: Solarvest, a leading clean energy provider, is set to make history by extending its sustainability commitment from energy to community sports.

The company officially launched the Solarvest Pickleball Cup 2025, a groundbreaking tournament happening on 2-3 August 2025, at Picklefy, Shah Alam.

This tournament will proudly stand as Malaysia’s first-ever pickleball tournament powered entirely by 100% renewable energy. Each megawatt (MW) of power supplied to the Solarvest Pickleball Cup 2025 is certified by Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), which stands as a testament to how athletic passion and environmental responsibility can seamlessly unite.

The launch at Picklefy was officiated by Solarvest Group Vice President, Jack Tan; Solarvest’s ambassador, Ng Tze Yong; and key partners from Baseline AFA and Picklefy. Adding to the excitement, the tournament is set to showcase a stellar lineup of personalities and competitive pickleball players, including Delia Arnold, Jang Han Byul, Natalie Loke, and Khoo Eryang.

At the ceremony, Jack Tan (陈麒介), Group Vice President, Global Sales, Assets, Marketing of Solarvest Holdings Berhad, shared, “At Solarvest, we believe that clean energy is not just about infrastructure, it’s about how we live, work and play.

Supporting this sport reflects our belief in building vibrant, healthy communities, while driving sustainable progress. With an expected turnout of 480 players, we hope that this will be one of the most energetic and eco-driven pickleball tournaments Malaysia has ever seen.”

He added, “By integrating sustainability into a dynamic and social sport like pickleball, we hope to inspire meaningful conversations around climate action and more sustainable lifestyles. This marks an exciting new chapter for us as we continue leading initiatives that make clean energy part of everyday life.”

The tournament is open to the public, welcoming players from across Southeast Asia to compete in Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles categories.

Winners stand a chance to take home over RM35,000 in cash prizes, professional-grade paddles, eco-friendly medals crafted by sustainability partner NatureLoop, a limited edition Solarvest Pickleball Cup Puma jersey, and other exciting gifts.
