KOTA KINABALU: The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Sabah Chapter is set to host the MATTA Fair Sabah 2025 from 9 to 11 May 2025.

This three-day travel fair, taking place at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), aims to showcase irresistible travel, tour, flight, and hospitality deals—all under one roof and at unbeatable prices!

Organising chairman Rocky Kho emphasised Sabah's vital role in Malaysia’s tourism growth as part of Borneo. The stunning state, renowned for its natural beauty, including Mount Kinabalu, is also a home to centuries-old customs and a vibrant heritage.

These attributes have long made Sabah a preferred destination for both local and international travellers.

MATTA Fair Sabah 2025 intends to further enhance Sabah's appeal in tourism, with trusted travel agents, airlines, and hospitality providers offering exclusive travel packages and exceptional deals.

This year’s fair will feature a record-breaking 130 booths, a significant increase from the 78 booths showcased in 2024. RHB has joined as the Official Bank Partner for the Fair, enhancing the visitor experience with exclusive on-ground promotions, financial solutions, and rewards that add further value to travel purchases.

With a proven track record of consistent growth, MATTA Fair Sabah recorded an impressive RM21 million in sales last year alone—a clear indication of strong demand for travel and growing consumer confidence in the tourism sector.

“This strong momentum reflects the public’s enthusiasm for travel and the resilience of the tourism industry,” said Kho.

“MATTA remains committed to driving both domestic and inbound tourism, recognising their importance as key pillars of Malaysia’s economic growth."

With Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) on the horizon and MATTA as a Strategic Partner, our goal is to empower consumers and our tour and travel members to showcase Sabah’s beauty and create opportunities essential for success in the global tourism landscape.

Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) is the Official Airline Partner for MATTA Fair Sabah 2025, offering a range of exciting travel options for buyers. As one of the leading carriers in the region, MAG will provide attractive travel packages and exclusive destinations—further enhancing the deals available at the Fair.

In addition to these unbeatable travel offers, visitors can participate in the MATTA Fair Buyers’ Contest, a flagship favourite where shoppers stand a chance to win exciting prizes—including attractive travel packages from MAG—by simply spending a minimum of RM100 at the Fair.
