Meninipir Village Comes Alive with National Day Month Celebrations

KENINGAU: Kampung Meninipir is celebrating National Day Month5 2025 with a vibrant line-up of patriotic, social and community activities running throughout August and September, with local youth and villagers taking centre stage.

The programme aims to instil a spirit of unity and patriotism, especially among the younger generation, ensuring that the values of independence remain strong in the community.

Liawan Assemblyman Datuk Annuar Ayub Aman, expressed his support for the initiative, emphasising that independence is more than just a slogan but a living spirit of struggle that must continue to be nurtured. He also contributed to the success of the event through the Liawan Community Development Leader Unit (UPPM).

Programme chairman Muhammad Ishar Salimin, representing the Meninipir Youth Movement, said the celebration had received a boost of encouragement from Annuar’s support.

“This year’s celebration will be more lively and meaningful, as his concern shows that leaders who are close to the people walk alongside the community in building togetherness and national spirit,” he said.
