KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian International Food & Beverage Trade Fair (MIFB) 2026 returns with a revitalised national focus, positioning Malaysia’s food and beverage sector as a cohesive domestic ecosystem primed for growth, supported by robust international participation.
Under the theme "Future-Ready F&B: Powering the Next Wave," MIFB 2026 builds on 25 years of industry experience to serve as a trade-first platform that empowers Malaysian businesses. Alongside Malaysia Café Expo (MCE) and MyFoodTech, the event connects the entire F&B value chain, from local brands to global players, facilitating market access, capability development, and export readiness through a comprehensive ecosystem aligned with regional demand. This reinforces Malaysia’s position as a future-ready ASEAN F&B trade hub.
Beyond product displays, MIFB 2026 brings together local and international SMEs, distributors, brand owners, manufacturers, marketers, innovation partners, and volume buyers. The event acts as a central hub for industry insights, emerging trends, and evolving business models. Supported by strong international participation, it provides companies with opportunities to benchmark against global standards, gain valuable market intelligence, and enhance their capabilities.
A key feature of MIFB 2026 is its curated Buyer Programme, which targets organisations seeking innovative products, international collaborations, and cross-border sourcing both locally and overseas. These buyers include retailers, hypermarkets, and supermarkets; convenience store operators; distributors, wholesalers, and importers; hoteliers and hospitality groups; restaurants, cafés, and foodservice providers; airline caterers, cruise liners, and in-flight service providers; as well as entertainment venues, leisure operators, and institutional buyers.
MIFB 2026, in conjunction with MCE and MyFoodTech, creates an integrated space showcasing key growth sectors shaping the future of F&B. Malaysian and international exhibitors will provide expertise across areas such as Ready-To-Eat (RTE), Ready-To-Cook (RTC), and Ready-To-Drink (RTD) products, alongside Halal-certified offerings. The event will also highlight fresh, chilled, and frozen seafood, along with foodtech solutions—including kitchen equipment, automation, and foodservice technologies. Additionally, the café ecosystem will be showcased, encompassing equipment, coffee, bakery, franchise, and licensing brands.
Empowering Malaysia’s culinary talent is a central goal, with the Malaysia National Coffee Championship (MNCC) organised in partnership with the Malaysia Specialty Coffee Association (MSCA). As the sole World Coffee Events (WCE) licensed competition body in Malaysia, the MNCC will crown four national champions to represent Malaysia at the World Coffee Championships (WCC). This serves as a vital platform to recognise, benchmark, and elevate Malaysian coffee talent on the global stage.
The 2026 programme will also feature a series of trade-driven events aimed at fostering innovation, sharing market insights, and encouraging cross-sector collaboration. These include the Knowledge Hub and Live Theatre, which will host expert-led sessions on emerging trends, innovations, and business solutions. There will also be a Halal Certification Workshop providing guidance on certification requirements, regulatory procedures, and management systems. An immersive Chef’s Table will bring buyers and culinary creators together to explore culinary innovation and business opportunities.
Malaysian F&B companies are encouraged to participate in MIFB, MCE, and MyFoodTech 2026 to connect with buyers and partners seeking Made in Malaysia products and solutions, as well as international collaborators aiming to expand capabilities and markets. Retailers, distributors, hospitality groups, and foodservice operators are invited to register for the Buyer Programme to engage directly with Malaysian and international exhibitors.
