Nazri congratulates Sylvester Entri Muran on completing PhD

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah State Farmers’ Organisation (PPN Sabah) has extended its congratulations to the fourth Chairman of Sarawak State Farmers’ Organisation(PPN Sarawak), Datuk Sylvester Entri Muran, on successfully completing his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management.

PPN Sabah Chairman, Datuk Mohd Nazri Abdullah, said Sylvester’s success in passing his Viva Voce on 12 February reflects his strong commitment to the pursuit of knowledge and personal excellence.

He added that the achievement not only brings pride to his family and colleagues, but also serves as an inspiration to members of the farmers’ organisations in Sabah, Sarawak and throughout Malaysia to continue advancing their knowledge in order to strengthen the agricultural sector.

“PPN Sabah, together with all Area Farmers’ Organisations (PPK) and members in Sabah, extends its heartfelt congratulations to Datuk Sylvester Entri Muran, a farmers’ leader who maintains close ties with leaders and members in Sabah, on this accomplishment. May this academic success serve as a catalyst for even greater contributions towards the development of the farmers’ movement and the nation’s agricultural sector,” he said in a statement today.

According to Mohd Nazri, Sylvester’s accomplishment demonstrates that leadership within the farmers’ sector must go hand in hand with knowledge and sound management expertise to ensure organisations remain relevant and competitive.

Sylvester previously led PPN Sarawak, served as a Board Member of the National Farmers’ Organisation and held the position of Assistant Minister of Agriculture in the Sarawak State Government. He is widely recognised as an active advocate for the welfare and advancement of the farming community in the state.

PPN Sabah also expressed its hope that he will continue to achieve further success in his career and contribute meaningfully to the development of Malaysia’s agricultural sector and farming community.
