KUALA LUMPUR: NTT DATA Payment Services today announced the launch of ADAPTIS, a comprehensive suite of integrated payment solutions designed to meet the evolving needs of modern businesses. Unveiled at an exclusive brand launch event, ADAPTIS signifies a strategic milestone in the company's transformation, blending innovation, flexibility, and regional expertise to shape the future of commerce across Southeast Asia.

The ADAPTIS suite features five core offerings aimed at empowering businesses with enhanced flexibility and efficiency:

ADAPTIS In-Store for seamless retail transactions;

ADAPTIS e-Commerce for secure online payments;

ADAPTIS Financing to support business growth;

ADAPTIS Enterprise for scalable payment infrastructure; and

ADAPTIS VAS (Value-Added Services) to optimise operational performance.

“ADAPTIS is our response to the dynamic demands of the digital economy,” said Sean Hesh, Group Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of NTT DATA Payment Services. “Having served Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines for decades, with over 500,000 touchpoints across these markets, we understand what businesses require. ADAPTIS is designed to be flexible, localisation-focused, and future-ready, enabling companies to scale efficiently while delivering seamless payment experiences to their customers.”

A key highlight of the event was a panel discussion themed: “Next in Commerce: From Competition to Collaboration,” featuring Shinichiro Nishikawa, Head of the Global Payments and Services Division at NTT DATA Japan; Sean Hesh; Enoch Chhabra, CEO of Payment Services and e-pay at NTT DATA Payment Services; Yuichiro Sato, CEO of e-Commerce Solutions at NTT DATA Payment Services; and Jeremy Low, Group Head of Operations at NTT DATA Payment Services and COO of Paysys. The discussion centred on how NTT DATA Payment Services has integrated formerly competing brands into a unified ecosystem, fostering greater synergy and innovation within the global payments landscape.

Shinichiro Nishikawa highlighted the strategic importance of this evolution, stating: “The future of payments extends beyond individual transactions to encompass entire ecosystems. By bringing together Asian payments industry leaders under the NTT DATA Payment Services umbrella, we are building a more connected, intelligent, and resilient regional commerce infrastructure. ADAPTIS exemplifies our commitment to seamless integration, localisation, and large-scale innovation that empower businesses worldwide.”

The launch of ADAPTIS follows GHL Systems Berhad’s acquisition by NTT DATA Japan in 2024, making it a wholly owned subsidiary of one of the world’s leading IT service providers. In line with this strategic shift, the company officially rebranded as NTT DATA Payment Services Sdn. Bhd. on 13 November 2024, aligning with its new vision while upholding the high standards of service expected by merchants and businesses.

Following its debut in Malaysia, the ADAPTIS suite will be expanded to Thailand and the Philippines later this year, further demonstrating NTT DATA Payment Services’ commitment to delivering innovative payment solutions across the region.

NTT DATA Payment Services is a leading provider of payment solutions in the region, with operations spanning Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines. With a vast footprint of over 500,000 payment touchpoints and more than 30 years of expertise, we empower businesses by offering comprehensive online and offline payment solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs of SMEs and enterprises.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of NTT DATA Japan, one of the top ten global IT service providers, we are committed to driving sustainable commerce modernisation. Our mission is to support the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through innovative and sustainable financial products and services.
