OVER 70 PER CENT OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN SABAH FOLLOW ONLINE PdPR

KOTA KINABALU: Over 70 per cent of students at 211 secondary schools in Sabah have been following the online home-based teaching and learning (PdPR) as at Jan 27, said state education department director Datuk Dr Mistirine Radin.
She said that the remaining 20 per cent of students followed offline sessions while five per cent used a combination of both methods according to the suitability of teachers and students.
“More than 70 per cent of teachers (at secondary schools) are involved in online PdPR daily.
Meanwhile, a total of 46 per cent of students from 1,075 primary schools attended online PdPR sessions, while 45 per cent attend offline, and nine per cent were using the combination of both methods daily, she told Bernama here yesterday.
She added that 89 per cent of students at four vocational colleges in the state participated in online teaching, another nine per cent offline and two per cent by a combination of both methods.
Mistirine said that the printed materials for PdPR classes, including learning modules, project-based learning, worksheets and drill exercises, were also distributed to students. -Bernama
