Pengiran Saifuddin Appointed Chairman of Sabah Urban Development Corporation

KOTA KINABALU: Datuk Jamawi Jaafar today officially handed over the chairmanship of Sabah Urban Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (SUDC) to his successor, Pengiran Saifuddin Pengiran Tahir Petra, at a ceremony held here.


Jamawi, who has served as SUDC Chairman since 2020, is currently the Sabah Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry.


In his address, Jamawi congratulated Pengiran Saifuddin on his appointment and expressed his appreciation to all SUDC staff for their cooperation and support throughout his five-year tenure.


“What matters most is the effective delivery of our duties to the public,” he said.


Jamawi also expressed confidence that SUDC would continue its commitment and progress under the new leadership.


Meanwhile, Pengiran Saifuddin, 67, a former Chief Executive Officer of SUDC, thanked Jamawi for his leadership, contributions and dedication to the corporation.


Also present were SUDC General Manager Anthony Undan Dumpangol, Chief Executive Officer Datuk Afizal Aldin, and members of the corporation’s staff.


Earlier, Jamawi attended a meeting at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry (MAFFI) building with the Sabah Maju Jaya Secretariat, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Haji (Datu) Rosmadi Datu Sulai.
