KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Association of Former Educators (PMPS) has continued to strengthen its welfare commitment by presenting a charitable contribution to the family of the late Hajah Noriah Haji Mulok as a gesture of care and solidarity towards the relatives of the former educator.
The contribution was presented by PMPS Vice President II, Datuk Haji Sapawae Haji Tusin, on behalf of PMPS President, Dr Aslie Haji Sahat, during a brief yet meaningful ceremony held here.
Sapawae said the contribution formed part of the association’s ongoing efforts to safeguard the welfare of educators, including retired teachers and their family members, in line with the spirit of kinship that underpins PMPS’s mission.
“Although this contribution is modest, it serves as a token of remembrance, appreciation and moral support from PMPS to the family of the deceased. The association greatly values the service and sacrifices of educators in developing human capital in the state of Sabah,” he said when met after the ceremony.
The contribution was received by the late Hajah Noriah’s son, Cikgu Saiful Waidi Tajudin Jaman, on behalf of the family.
Also present were PMPS Secretary-General Ali Majittaba; Assistant Secretary-General Dr Kassim Haji Buntak; and PMPS Tuaran Chairperson as well as Central Committee Member, Dr Mastan Gaga.
The presence of PMPS’s leadership reflected the association’s spirit of solidarity and its continued support for members and the families of educators in the state.
Meanwhile, Saiful Waidi, representing the family of the deceased, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the concern and contribution extended.
He said the assistance and moral support were deeply meaningful to the family as they navigate this difficult period following the loss of their loved one.
Previously, PMPS has actively carried out various welfare programmes, including compassionate visits and the presentation of aid to members and families affected by misfortune.
This ongoing initiative is in line with the association’s founding objective of safeguarding the welfare of former educators and strengthening ties among its members throughout Sabah.
