PUTATAN: The local community has been urged to heighten awareness of fire safety in order to prevent incidents that could result in property damage and loss of life.
Tanjung Keramat State Assemblyman (ADUN) Shah Alfie Yahya (SAY) said residents in Putatan and the constituency as a whole should pay close attention to advisories and announcements issued by the relevant authorities and take appropriate preventive measures.
“I call upon residents in Putatan to increase their awareness of fire-related risks.

“The public is also advised not to take safety matters lightly, particularly in their own homes, as negligence towards safety elements can significantly increase such risks,” he said.
He made these remarks following a blood donation programme organised by the Putatan Malaysian Red Crescent Society, in collaboration with the Putatan Fire and Rescue Station (BBP), held here today.
SAY was represented at the programme by the Community Development Leader (PPM) for Tanjung Keramat, Latip Jiar.

Also present were Putatan Fire and Rescue Station Chief Musran Jabri, Deputy Chairman of the Putatan Malaysian Red Crescent Society Harun Hamidun, and Community Development Officer for Tanjung Keramat Syed Arizal Karim.
Elaborating on the programme, Shah Alfie said it served as an effective platform to strengthen ties within the local community while simultaneously contributing to hospital blood banks to assist those in need.
“God willing, this programme will be continued from time to time.
“It not only brings authorities and government agencies closer to the public, but also allows us to give back to those in need, particularly by supporting the continuous demand for blood supplies at hospital facilities,” he said.
