RATU Continues Empowering Women Entrepreneurs in Sabah

SANDAKAN: The association of women entrepreneurs in the state continues to play a vital role in fostering economic growth and empowerment. Sandakan Member of Parliament, Vivian Wong Shir Yee, highlighted that one of its key contributions is the development of women entrepreneurs, particularly in advancing their enterprises and promoting their products. She expressed hope that women entrepreneur associations across the state will persist in their efforts to help more women achieve success in their respective businesses.
She made these remarks during the officiation of the 1950s Classic Queen Gala Night, organised by Persatuan Ratna Unggul (RATU) Sabah, held at Hakka Hall in Sandakan on Saturday. Her speech was delivered on her behalf by Sandakan Parliamentary Coordinator, Tang Szu Ching. Also present were Sabah Development Berhad Chairman, Datuk Frankie Poon Ming Fung, RATU Chairperson, Sanjanah Awang Zainal, and other invited guests.
During the event, Vivian presented prizes to the winners of the best-dressed competition, while Tang Szu Ching handed out the Queen Awards to successful women entrepreneurs in Sandakan. Vivian commended RATU’s ongoing efforts to support women entrepreneurs in facing the current business challenges with resilience and determination.
Meanwhile, in her speech at the same event, Sanjanah stated that RATU currently has approximately 1,000 members across Sabah. She also expressed her gratitude to all those who have supported RATU’s initiatives and contributed to the success of the evening’s festivities.
