Sabah one of four states to experience heavy rain: MetMalaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a continuous rain warning at the alert level for several areas in Sabah, effective until December 30.


In its statement, MetMalaysia identified the affected regions in Sabah as the interior area of Tambunan, the west coast, and Tawau, including Lahad Datu. Additional regions impacted include Sandakan, specifically Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran, and Sandakan itself, as well as Kudat.


Forecasts indicate that similar weather conditions will affect Kelantan, with regions such as Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Machang, Pasir Puteh, and Kuala Krai under potential rainfall from December 29 to 31. Parts of Terengganu and Pahang, including Kuantan, Pekan, and Rompin, are also expected to experience rainfall during this period.
