PENAMPANG: The Sabah Plumber Association recently paid a courtesy visit to Datuk Ladislaus Maluda, President of the Kadazandusun Chamber of Commerce and Industry Malaysia (KCCI), where both organisations held fruitful discussions on collaborating for the upcoming Plumbing Asia 2026 international exhibition.

This engagement culminated in an important partnership agreement to strengthen regional industry ties.

During the meeting, KCCI officially confirmed its role as Co-organiser of the Asian Trade Gallery, a key feature of Plumbing Asia 2026, dedicated to promoting cooperation within the regional water industry and fostering international trade opportunities.

The Asian Trade Gallery will serve as a strategic platform connecting ASEAN business chambers and industry networks, Malaysian small and medium enterprises (SMEs), Chinese and global technology partners, as well as water infrastructure and sustainable development stakeholders.

This collaboration will harness combined industry and business resources to advance technology exchange, facilitate business matching, and promote investment opportunities. It aims to solidify Sabah’s position as a regional hub for water infrastructure development and trade.

The Sabah Plumber Association highlighted that KCCI’s participation marks a significant milestone, transforming Plumbing Asia 2026 from merely an industry exhibition into a dynamic platform for regional economic growth and industrial collaboration. This aligns with Sabah’s vision to become a key centre for water infrastructure cooperation across Asia.

Plumbing Asia 2026 is set to attract government agencies, professional associations, industry leaders, and experts from around the world to discuss vital topics such as water security, infrastructure development, and sustainable solutions for the future.
