SINGAPORE: The Sabah Convention Bureau (SCB) is strengthening Sabah’s position as a competitive business events destination with its third consecutive appearance at The Meetings Show Asia Pacific (TMS APAC) Singapore 2026, held on 14–15 April.

As one of the region’s premier trade shows for the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) industry, TMS APAC offers a vital platform for destinations to connect with international buyers and leaders.

SCB’s participation underscores its drive to expand Sabah’s global footprint and secure high-value events.

At the Sabah Pavilion, SCB and its partners hosted over 130 pre-scheduled business meetings and networking sessions, plus numerous walk-in, showcasing Sabah’s strengths, world-class venues, exceptional hospitality, rich culture, and stunning natural landscapes.

This strong response highlights keen interest from global buyers.

Key partners joining SCB included Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), Hilton Kota Kinabalu, Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu, Sheraton Kota Kinabalu, Shangri-La Rasa Ria Kota Kinabalu, and Discovery Tour Sabah Sdn Bhd, representing Sabah’s thriving business events ecosystem.

Since 2025, SCB has supported over 90 events, generating an estimated RM118.3 million in economic impact.

This success reflects international organisers’ growing confidence in Sabah as a destination delivering impactful experiences and tangible results.

“Our participation in TMS APAC 2026 aims to attract high-impact events that fuel economic growth and long-term development,” said Noredah Othman, Chief Executive Officer of the Sabah Convention Bureau.

Looking ahead, SCB is targeting more international events to drive trade, investment, job creation, and talent development, cementing Sabah’s status as an emerging regional hub for business events.
