KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Skin Cancer Conference (SSCC) 2026 is set to take place at the Shangri-La Hotel, Tanjung Aru, bringing together healthcare professionals and experts in dermatology and oncology for a comprehensive scientific meeting focused on skin cancer care.

Scheduled for 4 July 2026, the conference will feature a series of lectures covering current developments, clinical advances and multidisciplinary approaches in the detection, management and prevention of skin cancer. The event aims to foster collaboration among dermatologists, surgeons, oncologists, primary care practitioners, trainees and allied health professionals.

Organisers have announced that early bird registration is now open and will remain available until 30 April 2026. Full details of the programme and registration information can be found on the official event website at https://sabahscc2026.com.

A call for abstracts has also been issued, with submissions invited for poster presentations. Selected abstracts will be shortlisted for oral presentation during the conference, offering researchers and clinicians an opportunity to showcase their work to a regional audience.

In addition to the main conference, a pre-conference workshop will be held on 3 July 2026. The PRS Suturing and Scar Management Workshop will provide hands-on training, with limited places available.

The organising committee has also launched a short video competition on Instagram to promote skin cancer awareness and engagement with the conference. Participants are invited to submit entries using the hashtag #sscc2026, with the winner receiving a waiver of the conference registration fee.

The Sabah Skin Cancer Conference 2026 is expected to attract delegates from across the region, further strengthening professional networks and advancing education in skin cancer management.
