SIFEX 2026 Set to Sizzle with 400+ Brands and 60,000 Visitors Expected

KOTA KINABALU: The fourth edition of the Sabah International Food Expo (SIFEX 2026) is set to return from 24 to 26 April 2026 at the Sabah International Convention Centre.(SICC) , promising its biggest showcase yet.


Widely regarded as the largest food exhibition in East Malaysia, SIFEX 2026 will feature 312 booths representing more than 400 food and beverage brands from Malaysia and across the region, according to organising chairperson Datuk Khatijah Bachtiyal, who is also Managing Director of ESM Exhibitor Relations Malaysia. .


“Exhibitors will include participants from Brunei, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan, alongside federal government agencies and leading industry players,” she said.


Around 60,000 visitors are expected to attend the three-day event, themed ‘Tasting Tomorrow’s Market’, which offers a dynamic platform for product showcases, business networking and market expansion.


The expo, open daily from 10am to 9pm, will cater to both business-to-consumer (B2C) and direct business-to-business (B2B) engagements.


Among the highlights are 400 fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) brands, a Taiwan Product Fair, a lively street food section featuring authentic regional specialities, and a dedicated pastry and bakery zone presenting artisanal creations.


Visitors can also look forward to food sampling sessions and live cooking demonstrations by celebrity chef Dato' Fazley Yaakob.


Additional attractions include interactive workshops, product presentations showcasing the latest culinary innovations, and 1,000 exclusive door gifts for early visitors on the opening day.


SIFEX 2026 invites supermarkets, importers, distributors, restaurateurs, café owners, hoteliers, investors, non-governmental organisations and food enthusiasts to take part in and support this premier regional food showcase.


The official opening ceremony will take place on 25 April at 11am. Admission is free.
