State Assemblywoman Presents Food Baskets in Aidiladha Spirit

KOTA KINABALU: In the spirit of Hari Raya Aidiladha, Api-Api Assemblywoman Datuk Seri Christina Liew presented food baskets to the teachers and staff of SMK Pulau Gaya during a special visit to the school on Saturday.
The festive gesture was warmly received by the school community, with Principal Azlan Saflie expressing his gratitude to the assemblywoman for her thoughtfulness and generosity.
“We deeply appreciate Datuk Seri Christina Liew’s charitable contribution, especially as it coincides with this meaningful celebration for our Muslim staff and students,” said Azlan.
Extending her festive wishes, Liew remarked, “I would like to wish our Muslim friends a Happy and Joyous Aidiladha. Just as we come together to celebrate Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Aidilfitri, the Harvest Festival, and Christmas, this is a time to share joy and unity across all communities.”
Also in attendance were the Chairman of the Parent-Teacher Association (PIBAGU), Kanchi Abdullah, Api-Api Community Development Leader (PPM) Theresa Chong Mui Lan, and Community Development Officer Yoong Yik Tin.
The event reflected a spirit of inclusivity and mutual respect, reinforcing the importance of celebrating diversity within Sabah’s multicultural society.
