Strong Confidence from Dr Peter in Gum-Gum Contest

SANDAKAN: The United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) candidate for Gum Gum Dr Peter Jr Naintin, stressed that he stepped with confidence into the election.

He said he is ready to listen to the people.

His assurance stems from continuous engagement with the local community and the solid support he has received throughout his outreach efforts.

He noted that when voters recognise a leader’s sincerity and commitment, they are more likely to make an informed and rightful choice.

Outlining his aspirations for the constituency, Dr Peter said his primary mission is to deliver meaningful change to Gum-Gum.

This, he explained, includes ensuring more balanced development, improving economic opportunities, and enhancing the effectiveness of public service delivery.

He believes only people-centred leadership can secure long-term progress and prosperity for the area.

UPKO, under which he is contesting, continues to champion the “Sabah First” spirit as part of its commitment to protecting the rights of Sabahans as provided under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 and the Federal Constitution.

“We hope that the incoming Sabah government will be led by local Sabah-based parties capable of delivering better governance for the people,” Dr Peter added.
