KOTA KINABALU: The Sustainable Wholistic Wellness International Conference & Expo (SWWICE2025 Sabah) will take place from 24 June to 3 July 2025 in Kota Kinabalu.

According to the SWWICE2025 Organising Chairperson Cleopatra Lajawai, this landmark global gathering will bring together more than 30 distinguished speakers from 10 countries, Germany, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, the United States, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Greece, the Philippines, and Australia,to explore how Sustainable Wholistic Wellness can serve as a catalyst for transforming lives, communities, and economies.

Centred around the theme “Sustainable Wholistic Wellness Tourism,” SWWICE2025 Sabah champion the integration of wellness principles into tourism, business, and community development, she said.

"Rooted in the 10 Pillars of Sustainable Wholistic Wellness, the event aims to advance not only individual wellbeing but also environmental stewardship, social inclusion, and economic resilience," she stated

According to her, key discussions will focus on practical models for embedding wellness into tourism and public health, and how these can support community vitality and environmental sustainability.

"Experts will explore wholistic approaches to healthy ageing through nutrition, movement, emotional balance, and spiritual alignment, while also examining emerging investment opportunities in the rapidly expanding wellness economy, particularly across the Asia-Pacific region."

The conference will highlight the importance of cultural heritage and indigenous knowledge in shaping authentic and community-based wellness experiences, she said.

"In addition, it will address how Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles can be applied across tourism, real estate, healthcare, and the wellness sector."

"Delegates will also explore how the 10 Wellness Pillars can be aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to turn global targets into local action."

SWWICE2025 Sabah aims to position wholistic wellness tourism as a viable model for economic growth, environmental protection, and cultural preservation.

"It promotes the application of the Wellness Pillars across sectors including healthcare, education, business, and tourism, while showcasing international best practices in ESG and SDG integration. The event is designed to foster cross-sector and cross-cultural collaboration, inspire global and local stakeholders, and establish Sabah as a premier destination for conscious living and wellness-focused tourism."

The programme comprises three key components. From 24 to 26 June, the conference will be held at the Magellan Sutera Resort, featuring keynote addresses, expert panels, masterclasses, and global networking opportunities.

This will be followed by the Wellness Expo, taking place from 27 to 29 June at the SICC Kinabatangan Hall, where over 300 exhibitors will showcase products, services, and innovations spanning the 10 Wellness Pillars.

The expo, held in partnership with Smart Lifestyle Expo, Baby Festival & Life+, and 22Cycle, is open to the public free of charge and will feature interactive workshops, demonstrations, and wellness experiences.

The final component is a Wellness Retreat from 1 to 3 July, a restorative experience focused on enhancing health, energy alignment, and inner transformation.

SWWICE2025 Sabah follows the success of SWWICE2025 Germany, held in May near Munich. That edition, themed “Sustainable Wholistic Wellness Workplaces,” featured powerful masterclasses on emotional intelligence, healthy workplace environments, and auric energy.

It also marked the 35th anniversary of Qi-Mag Global Institutes, a key contributor to the SWWICE vision. The German event, supported by RW Consulting, Tourism Malaysia Frankfurt, the Institute of Tourism, and the Bad Hindelang Tourism Board, significantly extended the conference’s influence across Europe.

Now, with Sabah as its Southeast Asian host, SWWICE2025 continues to build momentum as a leading platform for innovation, collaboration, and sustainable impact in global wellness tourism.
