Tawau MP distributes free stationery sets to B40 children

KOTA KINABALU: Tawau MP Datuk Christina Liew is giving out two thousand stationery sets for children from B40 families in Tawau.

The distribution of the free stationery sets is under Christina’s ‘Jom Balik Sekolah’ Programme which is to lessen the burden of B40 families.

The event started on Wednesday and the distribution exercise continues today (Thursday).

"My contribution is to help lessen the burden of parents with school-going children, and who are struggling to meet their education needs," Liew said.

For a start, Christina handed out 362 sets to community representatives who are responsible for reaching out to children in need in their respective areas.
