KOTA KINABALU: Members of Parliament (MP) provide various services to their constituents, including helping them navigate government bureaucracy, addressing their concerns and grievances, and assisting with issues related to public services such as healthcare, education, housing, and welfare.

MPs act as advocates for individuals and communities, working to resolve problems and improve the lives of their constituents.

Penampang MP Datuk Ewon Benedick is one who goes over and beyond his duties to serve his constituents.

In a heartwarming act of generosity, Ewon, represented by Bryan Matasing the Penampang Parliament Liason Officer presented Hilary Phillip Wong, a former employee of the Penampang District Council with a bed.

He had recently suffered a stroke rendering him in a situation where he needed the special bed.

Wong who lives in Kg Terawi Penampang cannot fend for himself and his elderly parents are both retirees.

Wong, 43, who found himself facing the challenges brought upon by the stroke will benefit tremendously from the donation.

He thanked Ewon who is also the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, for the donation.
