KUALA LUMPUR: The Health Industry Series - ASEAN (tHIS ASEAN 2025), a pioneering event dedicated to integrating healthcare resources across Southeast Asia, is scheduled to take place in Kuala Lumpur from June 9 to 11.

Co-located with the APHM International Healthcare Conference & Exhibition 2025, organised by the Association of Private Hospitals of Malaysia (APHM), these combined events are expected to attract over 5,000 professionals from the region’s medical and healthcare sectors.

Spanning more than 5,000 square metres, tHIS ASEAN 2025 will showcase the latest innovations, products, and technologies from over 200 Chinese enterprises specialising in healthcare.

The event anticipates participation from government officials, hospital procurement leaders, distributors, and agents from across ASEAN countries.

As one of the most dynamic economies in the region, Malaysia has been rapidly increasing investment in healthcare infrastructure and services.

Ongoing reforms and a strong commitment to medical innovation have positioned Malaysia as a strategic hub for global health collaboration. The launch of tHIS ASEAN underscores the strengthening cooperation between China and ASEAN nations, fostering regional integration in healthcare technology, products, and services.

In partnership with APHM and its network of over 200 exhibitors, tHIS ASEAN 2025 will benefit from shared audiences and expanded industry reach.

The event will focus on five key sectors: medical devices, rehabilitation and elderly care, pharmaceuticals, hospital construction, and medical component manufacturing and design.

These zones will thoroughly showcase China’s healthcare capabilities and their applications within Southeast Asian markets.

A series of high-level forums will be held during the event, covering a broad range of topics. These include sessions on innovative technologies shaping the future of medical devices, future trends in pharmaceutical products and technologies, ASEAN rehabilitation and elderly care industry developments, China-ASEAN pharmaceutical market cooperation, the hospital of the future through innovation and collaboration, and strategies for expanding into ASEAN, focusing on regulations, trends, and cultural considerations.

Confirmed speakers include representatives from Malaysia’s Device Authority (MDA), discussing medical device regulatory pathways in Malaysia; the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA), covering drug import registration policies; Indonesia’s Ministry of Health, on medical device regulations in Indonesia; the CEO of Econ Healthcare Group, addressing developments in rehabilitation and elderly care in Singapore; Mindray, presenting on digital transformation and intelligent solutions to improve clinical outcomes; and a leader from the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) industry, exploring how new TCM products are empowering health protection, particularly among millennials.

To facilitate targeted business opportunities, the event will also offer customised services such as one-on-one matchmaking sessions, exclusive site visits to leading private hospitals, and curated networking activities.

These initiatives are designed to foster collaboration, streamline industry connections, and promote meaningful engagement among participants.

tHIS ASEAN 2025 aims to establish itself as the premier healthcare industry platform in Southeast Asia, driving innovation, elevating healthcare services, and strengthening cross-border business cooperation.

It marks a significant step towards creating a more integrated, innovative, and sustainable regional healthcare landscape.
