U Mobile Opens First Bangsar Store and Expands 5G Coverage

KUALA LUMPUR: U Mobile, Malaysia’s newest 5G network provider, has strengthened its presence in Bangsar with the opening of its first retail store in the area at Telawi Square.

The new full-service outlet is designed to offer greater convenience, enabling customers to sign up for new plans, upgrade their subscriptions, purchase devices and receive personalised support.

The opening marks another milestone in U Mobile’s ongoing retail expansion strategy to bring enhanced customer experiences closer to subscribers nationwide.

In conjunction with the store launch, U Mobile has expanded its 5G network coverage throughout Bangsar. This includes in-building coverage (IBC), made possible with the support of IBC infrastructure partner EdgePoint Towers. Seamless indoor 5G connectivity is now available at key shopping destinations such as Bangsar Village 1, Bangsar Village 2 and Bangsar Shopping Centre, while outdoor 5G coverage has been extended across major commercial and lifestyle areas including Jalan Telawi, Jalan Bangkung and Jalan Penaga.

This enhanced connectivity supports the lifestyles and working needs of those living and working in Bangsar, while also unlocking digital opportunities such as smart retail within the malls.

To celebrate the opening, customers are invited to visit U Mobile’s Bangsar store from 16 to 18 January 2026 at the Ground Floor of Telawi Square, 41 Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.
