UMS Rugby: Sabah Osca Warriors, Angel Warriors and Saborc Goldstar Dominate Three Main Categories

KOTA KINABALU: The 3rd Edition of the UMS Rugby 10s Championship 2025 came to a colourful and spirited close last weekend at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), as 26 teams from across Borneo competed in the Men’s, Women’s, and Veterans’ categories.

The Sabah Osca Warriors emerged as champions in the Men’s category after defeating Nabawan Panther in the final, taking home a cash prize of RM1,000. In the Women’s category, Angel Warriors claimed a commanding victory and walked away with RM1,000, while Saborc Goldstar continued their dominance in the Veterans’ category, securing a stylish win and RM500.

The tournament was a stage for athletic competition and served as an empowerment platform for students, as it was fully organised by Year 3 UMS Sports Science students (Votex), with assistance from Year 1 students (Phantom), under the supervision and official sanctioning of the Sabah Rugby.
