KENINGAU: The attendance of Sze Yi Keningau Association President Datuk Peter Ma Kin Yee, together with his family, at the Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House hosted by Liawan assemblyman Dato’ Nik Mohd Nadzri Nik Zawawi yesterday reflected the spirit of unity among the multi-ethnic community in this district.

The event brought together various segments of society in a friendly and harmonious atmosphere, thereby strengthening social bonds and the community’s values of togetherness.

At the same time, the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Keningau Baru Charter Night took place, marking the official establishment of the new JCI branch in the district.

The event served as a platform to empower young people through leadership development, professional networking, and active community involvement.

Peter, who is also a prominent figure and Chairman of the Board of Governors of SMJK Ken Hwa Keningau, said that organising such programmes not only strengthens inter-ethnic relations but also opens avenues for strategic collaboration between community leaders, organisations, and the younger generation.

“The strength of a district lies in its community’s ability to unite, support one another, and move forward together to build a shared future,” he said.

Both events showcased Keningau as an active, inclusive district that continues to progress through the involvement of various parties in social and leadership activities.

At the event, Datuk Peter Ma, along with his family and friends—including Chow Chee Soong, Michael Wong, and Mrs Liew with her child—had her photographs taken with Dato’ Nik Mohd Nadzri.
