UPKO Central Youth Wing Conducts Visit to Dakata Farm, Supporting Youth Entrepreneurship

PENAMPANG: The United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation Youth Wing, led by the Central Youth Chief, Felix Joseph Saang, conducted an official visit to Dakata Farm, a tilapia fish farming operation owned by Michael Fadillah, a member of the UPKO Youth Wings Committee (Penampang).

The visit aimed to review the progress of the tilapia farming project and to provide moral support to young entrepreneurs venturing into agriculture and aquaculture.

This initiative is in line with UPKO Youth’s commitment to empowering young people through sustainable and competitive economic activities.

According to Felix , the involvement of young people in the agri-food and aquaculture sectors is a positive step towards strengthening the state’s food security, while also increasing employment and income opportunities at the community level.

The UPKO Youth Wing will continue to support and encourage more Sabah youths to explore entrepreneurship, particularly in modern agriculture, which holds significant potential for the state’s economic development.

This visit reflects the spirit of unity and the continued support of UPKO Youth for youth-led economic development initiatives.
