UPKO N22 Tg Aru Strengthens Grassroots Engagement on Pulau Gaya

KOTA KINABALU: United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) N22 Tg Aru candidate Dennison R. Indang carried out an extensive community engagement programme on Pulau Gaya.

Accompanied by Datuk Marcus Mojigoh Putatan division chief, he visited the area to reaffirm UPKO’s commitment to its Sabah First agenda and its pledge to prioritise the needs of local communities.

Held from 9am to 1pm, the visit covered Lok Urai, Pulau Gaya Tengah, and Torong Logong. Supported by the UPKO N22 Tg Aru campaign machinery, the delegation met residents, discussed on-the-ground issues, and shared UPKO’s development vision for the constituency.

During the visit, Dennison stressed that UPKO’s Sabah First agenda is designed to ensure that Sabahans’ welfare, rights, and opportunities remain central to policy direction and development planning.

“Our Sabah First agenda is clear—Sabah’s needs must come before anything else,” Dennison said when addressing the communities.

“We are here to listen, to understand, and to serve. I respectfully ask the people of Pulau Gaya to support UPKO and vote for us so we can continue championing the rights and wellbeing of Sabahans.”

The visit demonstrated UPKO’s continued efforts to stay connected with grassroots concerns and to ensure that its Sabah First agenda reflects the realities faced by local residents.
