UPKO Opts for Media Announcement Over Candidate-Unveiling Gathering

PENAMPANG: The President of the United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO), Datuk Ewon Benedick, has announced that the party will not be holding a public event to unveil its candidates. Instead, the candidate list will be released through a media statement.

“I can confirm that UPKO will contest no fewer than 20 seats in this Sabah state election."

“I will be issuing the list of UPKO candidates later this evening via a media release."

“These candidates come from diverse academic backgrounds, professional experiences, leadership roles, and records of service to the communities they represent.

“They will stand for UPKO and offer their leadership in their respective constituencies, guided by the principles of struggle and public service that I have upheld throughout my tenure as UPKO President."

“They will also be going to every corner of the villages, neighbourhoods, and towns to present and promote the ‘Sabah First’ agenda,” he said.
