PENAMPANG: Marcellus Tambud is the United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) Limbahau Division Vice Chief.

"I joined UPKO through the Tawau Division in 1997. I served as a youth leader and was one of the Division Vice chief. In 2013, I was transferred to Kota Kinabalu and, in 2014, I joined UPKO Papar as the head of the Kg Punson Kirilip Kinarut branch. I serve as one of the Vice Chief Papar up to the present time."

"Throughout my tenure, I have organised several community programmes involving all age groups," he stated.

These programmes have facilitated direct engagement with the community, greatly enhancing their understanding of the role that political entities play in planning and implementing development programmes, as well as in providing career opportunities.

Most importantly, these initiatives have broadened the community’s understanding of the role that political parties, particularly UPKO, play in shaping the nation’s development trajectory.

"People are now more open to discussing various issues and are willing to agree to disagree in pursuit of mutually beneficial goals."

He pledged his support to UPKO, praising the party’s unwavering commitment to the people. He emphasised that UPKO’s efforts are commendable and that its struggles are closely aligned with the needs and aspirations of the people.

Happy 31st Anniversary to UPKO!
