PUTATAN: The variety of food, drinks, and traditional delicacies has become the main attraction for visitors at the Ramadan Bazaar in Putatan.

Putatan Member of Parliament, Datuk Ir Shahelmey Yahya, stated that in addition to energising traders’ activities and sales, the lively atmosphere has become a routine for many people to visit the area and purchase their favourite dishes.

He explained that this continued interest demonstrates Putatan’s status as a significant location for leading bazaars in Sabah overall, and it has secured a special place in visitors’ hearts.

“With the presence of these bazaars in Putatan, it appears to be a must-visit destination for those seeking to buy their buka puasa treats.

“We also remind traders to maintain the quality of the food and drinks sold, as well as to set reasonable prices for customers,” he said.

Shahelmey, also Chairman of Sabah Oil and Gas Development Corporation (SOGDC), expressed hope that the diverse range of dishes on offer will continue to put Putatan on the map as a hotspot for buka puasa food lovers, while also providing opportunities for traders to increase their income.

He made these remarks after conducting a walkabout at the Peladang Ramadan Bazaar and Legend Golden Centre Ramadan Bazaar in Putatan today.

Also present at the event were Tanjung Keramat State Assemblyman, Shah Alfie Yahya; Special Operations Officer for Parliament, Ir Ummar Ariff Abu Bakar; Senior Special Officer for Putatan Parliament, Mohd Sufian Matin; and Community Development Leaders (PPM) for Tanjung Keramat, Latip Jiar.
