KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) said it stands firm with its decision not to support the current Perikatan Nasional (PN) government.

Its president Datuk Seri Panglima Shafie Apdal said all its MPs are unanimous in the decision and call for Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and his entire cabinet to step down.

The stand is shared by Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, Sri Aman MP Datuk Masir Anak Kujat, Selangau MP Baru Bian and Tuaran MP Datuk Seri Panglima Wilfred Madius Tangau, his statement which was issued today read.

Earlier today, a statement alleging Warisan throwing its support to the present-day government was widely circulated on social media.

Shafie who is the former chief minister of Sabah stressed that any talks about the party backing PN are false and malicious.

He also mentioned that Parliament should convene immediately to show whether Muhyiddin indeed has the majority support in the House.

"That will clear the air and there is no need to wait until September. This motion of confidence should be the sole issue debated in this immediate session.

"It should not be mixed up with other issues concerning the 12th Malaysia Plan and the budget that will be discussed in the parliamentary session scheduled in September," he stated.
