Yazid Unanimously Elected Reunion Chair

KENINGAU: Yazid Mohd Hasnan Tawik @ Charles was unanimously elected as Chairman of the Organising Committee for the Maktab Perguruan Kent Tuaran Reunion for the 1976–1985 sessions.

The former General Secretary of the college's student association in 1981, who also served as Assistant General Secretary in 1980—was chosen during the committee formation meeting..

Keningau was selected as this year's host following a decision from last year's meeting in the Federal Territory of Labuan. The event will also involve Tenom, Nabawan, and Tambunan.

For the newly formed committee, Sinari Jalumin was appointed Deputy Chairman, with three Vice-Chairmen: Hussin Basir (Tenom), Helena Joan Januli (Tambunan), and Samsiah Angkaus (Nabawan). Suriaty Ramat and Lania Makajin hold the roles of Secretary and Assistant Secretary respectively, while Tini E. Ismail was appointed Treasurer.

Fifteen committee members were also appointed, including Joss Amit, Rozainie P. Mohd Hasnan Tawik, Siti Yanti Marindal, Rahmah Muhammad, Amnah, Ridhwan @ Junis D, Geoffery Kudot, Emma Ismail, Musiah Pansai, Juliana Apot Maria Bujang, Sakim Ibrahim, Jinlib Ramli, Yusri Timbangan, and Johan Manggata.

In his speech, Yazid expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and hoped all committee members would commit and cooperate to ensure the reunion runs smoothly and successfully.
