Youth Camp 2.0 Energises the Keningau Catholic Community

KENINGAU: The Youth Camp 2.0 programme, organised by the Catholic Youth Apostolate (KBK) of the Catholic Community (KUK) of St. Francis De Sales, Kampung Keningau, is set to take place on 5th and 6th September 2025.

The two-day event aims to bring together Catholic youth from across the district to participate in a range of activities centred on spirituality, personal development, and community volunteerism.

A contribution towards the success of the programme was extended by Liawan State Assemblyman, Datuk Annuar Ayub Aman. The donation was presented on his behalf by his Operations Assistant, Mohamad Raihan Jinode, during an official handover ceremony at the Liawan Community Development Leader Unit (UPPM) Office. It was received by Daniella Acacia Danly, Chairperson of KBK KUK St. Francis De Sales.

Daniella expressed that the Assemblyman’s support holds deep significance, not only in ensuring the continuity of the camp but also in uplifting the morale of the organising committee.

“We believe youth are drivers of the future, not merely followers. This support is more than just financial—it instils confidence that we are capable of transforming our own community,” she said in her speech of appreciation.

Datuk Annuar is well known for his grassroots approach in meeting community needs, particularly through support for education, social entrepreneurship, and youth character development—regardless of background or belief.

For the St. Francis De Sales KUK community, this camp is far more than an annual event; it forms part of a long-term mission to shape a generation of youth who are rooted in strong values, guided by faith, and equipped with the resilience to face modern-day challenges.
