  • KKTP jelajah 25 majlis daerah dapatkan maklum balas PBT

    4 April 2026 MEMBAKUT: Kementerian Kerajaan Tempatan dan Perumahan (KKTP) Sabah akan mengadakan jelajah ke 25 majlis daerah di seluruh negeri bermula minggu depan bagi mendapatkan maklum balas berkaitan keperluan serta cadangan daripada Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan (PBT). Menterinya, Datuk Dr Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif berkata jelajah itu akan dimulakan dengan lawatan ke beberapa daerah termasuk Penampang, Putatan, Beaufort, Kuala Penyu dan Papar “Dalam tempoh dua minggu pertama, sebanyak lima majlis daerah akan dikunjungi sebelum jelajah diteruskan ke Sandakan dan seterusnya ke Tawau. “Secara keseluruhan, terdapat 25 majlis daerah termasuk majlis perbandaran di Sabah yang akan disantuni bagi membolehkan kementerian mendapatkan taklimat secara langsung daripada pihak majlis,” katanya. Beliau berkata demikian ketika ditemui media pada Majlis Kesyukuran Aidilfitri di Kampung Pimping, di sini, hari ini. Majlis itu turut dihadiri Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sabah, Tun Musa Aman bersama isteri, Toh Puan Faridah Tussin. Mengulas lanjut, Arifin berkata jelajah KKTP itu akan dilaksanakan serentak dengan program Jabatan Hal Ehwal Agama Islam Negeri Sabah (JHEAINS) yang akan memperkenalkan inisiatif Tadarus Subuh. “Tadarus Subuh akan diisi dengan program khatam Al-Quran pada waktu subuh serta aktiviti bagi menggalakkan amalan bertadarus sepanjang tahun. “Setiap program dijangka melibatkan lebih 300 peserta dan kita akan mengenal pasti lokasi sesuai di setiap daerah untuk pelaksanaannya,” ujarnya. Selain itu, beliau berkata Majlis Ugama Islam Sabah (MUIS), JHEAINS serta Perbadanan Baitulmal Negeri Sabah turut akan melaksanakan program masing-masing dengan menyantuni masjid di daerah terlibat. “Kita juga akan menyalurkan bantuan utiliti kepada masjid selain mengenal pasti keperluan pembaikan melibatkan masjid dan sekolah agama. “Pada masa sama, saya akan melawat projek pembangunan sedia ada dan yang sedang dilaksanakan termasuk sekolah agama negeri, masjid serta surau,” katanya. Hadir sama, Ketua Menteri, Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor; Pembantu Menteri kepada Ketua Menteri, Datuk Isnin Aliasnih serta Pengarah Yayasan Sabah, Datuk Ghulam Haidar @ Yusof Khan Bahadar.

  • KPT teliti langkah bantu mahasiswa hadapi kos sara hidup

    4 April 2026 KUALA LUMPUR: Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi (KPT) sedang meneliti langkah sewajarnya bagi membantu warga kampus, khususnya pelajar, berdepan kemungkinan peningkatan kos sara hidup susulan krisis tenaga global yang semakin meruncing. Menterinya, Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir berkata, krisis berkenaan memberi kesan mendalam bukan sahaja kepada ekonomi global, malah turut menjejaskan pengurusan kewangan dalam kalangan warga pendidikan tinggi termasuk staf, ahli akademik dan pelajar. “Semalam, saya menerima kunjungan beberapa wakil Majlis Perundingan Pelajar Kebangsaan (MPPK) bagi membincangkan langkah yang boleh diambil KPT dan kerajaan dalam membantu warga kampus menghadapi kemungkinan kenaikan kos sara hidup, termasuk harga makanan dan keperluan harian. “Beberapa idea dan cadangan telah dikemukakan. Saya telah meminta pihak pegawai untuk meneliti perkara ini secara serius dan memberikan perhatian sewajarnya,” katanya menerusi hantaran di Facebook pada Sabtu. Zambry berkata beliau akan mengumumkan perancangan serta langkah awal yang disarankan oleh KPT bagi menangani isu tersebut, dalam masa terdekat ini. Dalam pada itu, beliau turut menegaskan bahawa pandangan dan suara mahasiswa akan terus diberi perhatian serta diterjemahkan kepada tindakan nyata.

  • Bekalan beras Sabah mencukupi, elak pembelian panik – Foong Hin

    4 April 2026 KOTA KINABALU: Bekalan beras di negeri ini ketika ini dijamin mencukupi dan berada dalam keadaan terkawal bagi menampung keperluan rakyat, kata Timbalan Menteri Pertanian dan Keterjaminan Makanan, Datuk Chan Foong Hin. Sehubungan itu, beliau menasihatkan pengguna supaya tidak panik dan mengelakkan pembelian secara berlebihan. Jelasnya, pembelian panik yang berlaku bukan berpunca daripada kekurangan bekalan, sebaliknya didorong penularan maklumat tidak sahih yang mencetuskan kekeliruan dalam kalangan masyarakat. “Tindakan menyebarkan khabar angin bukan sahaja mengelirukan rakyat, malah berpotensi mengganggu kestabilan pasaran. “Hakikatnya, bekalan beras di Sabah ketika ini adalah mencukupi dan berada dalam keadaan terkawal untuk menampung keperluan rakyat,” katanya menerusi hantaran di Facebook beliau, semalam. Foong Hin berkata, beliau telah mengadakan pertemuan bersama Ketua Operasi Pejabat Padiberas Nasional Berhad (BERNAS) Sabah, Hervian Kirman dan Timbalan Pengarah Kawalselia Padi dan Beras Sabah, Rosman Shamsul bagi mendapatkan gambaran terkini situasi bekalan di negeri ini. Menurutnya, BERNAS memberi jaminan bekalan beras di Sabah adalah mencukupi untuk menampung keperluan semasa. Selain itu, katanya kerajaan negeri turut mempertingkatkan pemantauan di seluruh rantaian pengedaran bagi memastikan keterjaminan makanan terus terpelihara. "Sehubungan dengan itu, orang ramai dinasihatkan agar tidak melakukan pembelian secara berlebihan atau hoarding kerana tindakan itu boleh menjejaskan kestabilan pasaran serta mengganggu akses pengguna lain terhadap bekalan beras. "Orang ramai turut diseru supaya kekal tenang, berbelanja secara berhemat serta mendapatkan maklumat daripada sumber rasmi bagi mengelakkan sebarang kekeliruan,” katanya. Beliau menegaskan kerjasama semua pihak amat penting untuk memastikan bekalan kekal stabil dan mencukupi untuk seluruh rakyat Sabah.
