15 NGOs accorded funding by TTS as part of CSR

TUARAN: The Board of Trustees of Sabah Parks (TTS) has contributed financial assistance of RM5,000 each to fifteen non-governmental organisations (NGOs) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
TTS, under the chairmanship of Peter Lintar, made this gesture in conjunction with the launch of the Stakeholders and Local Communities' Consultation Process and the Scientific Expedition for the Expansion of the Kinabalu UNESCO Global Geopark (KUGGP) and the Crocker Range Biosphere Reserve (CRBR). The event took place at the Linangkit Cultural Village here on Saturday.
The Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, officially opened the event. He was accompanied by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment, Datuk Seri Christina Liew.
Datuk Seri Hajiji presented the contributions to the leaders of the following organisations: Persatuan Pembangunan Lotud Negeri Sabah, Persatuan Asal Lotud Negeri Sabah, Sekolah Adat Anak Negeri Sabah, Lotud Community Learning Centre, Persatuan Nelayan Daerah Tuaran, Kelab Belia Harapan Daerah Tuaran, Kelab Tuaran Athletics, PIBG SM St John, Tuaran, PIBG SMK Sri Nangka, Tuaran, PIBG SK Selupoh, Tuaran, PIBG SK Kindu, Tuaran, PIBG SK St John, Tuaran, Selupoh Masters Athletics Club, Persatuan Belia Buansa Kg Mengkabong, Tuaran, and Badan Penyelenggara Dewan, Futsal and Padang Suworoh Selupoh, Tuaran.
TTS is an agency under the purview of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment (KePKAS).
Also in attendance were the Assistant Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment, Datuk Joniston Bangkuai, the Ministry's Permanent Secretary, Datuk Josie Lai, the Director of TTS, Dr Maklarin Lakim, and the Tuaran District Officer, Herman Tunggiging.
