35 TRAFFIC SUMMONSES ISSUED IN OPS MOTORSIKAL

KOTA KINABALU: A total of 35 summonses have been issued to traffic offenders in Jalan Tun Fuad and Jalan Pelabuhan during an operation - Ops Motorsikal - here, yesterday.
According to a statement by Kota Kinabalu police, the operation which was held from 10.15 am to 11.30 am involved seven officers from the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department here (JSPT).
"Traffic police have issued a total of 35 summonses under POL 275 for various offences, comprising seven summonses to motorcyclists and 28 motorcycle passengers.
"A total of 165 vehicles dan 170 individuals were inspected throughout the two-hour operation," the statement said.
The purpose of the operation is to ensure that motorcyclists comply with traffic laws.
