A Malaysian Woman’s journey to inspire digital innovation

1 November 2024

KOTA KINABALU: Kartina Abdul Ghani, the founder of Apps Master Builder Academy (AMB Academy), is redefining limits by blending endurance, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence (AI).

In an unprecedented journey, she is set to become the first Malaysian woman to climb Mount Kinabalu nine times within a single expedition while simultaneously launching mobile apps and showcasing the power of AI.

Scheduled from October 15 to November 9, 2024, this journey is not just about endurance, Kartina aims to inspire Malaysians and a global audience by demonstrating the ease of mobile app development through her AMB Drag & Drop Mobile Apps Builder Toolkit.

Her goal is to enter the Malaysia Book of Records for this remarkable feat, becoming the first Malaysian woman to accomplish such a challenge, which also marks a crucial part of her training for her ultimate goal: climbing Mount Everest in 2026.

Each time she reaches Kinabalu’s peak, Kartina will launch a new app on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, using her low-code/no-code platform.

By doing so, she aims to show that creating mobile apps is accessible to everyone, regardless of technical background.

Her journey is not only a testament to physical strength but also a celebration of digital empowerment.

Kartina also plans to leverage this expedition as a platform to educate the public on effective AI use.

According to her research, 97% of users are not fully utilizing AI tools. Through live demonstrations from Kinabalu’s summit, she will share practical techniques for using AI to fuel personal and business growth, sparking excitement about the potential of AI.

Kartina’s expedition is just the beginning. Her nine climbs of Mount Kinabalu represent a foundational step in her training schedule for Everest, where she plans to push her endurance and skills to new heights.

Here’s a glimpse of her rigorous training plan:

October/November 2024 – Multiple ascents of Mount Kinabalu (4,095m)

February 2025 – Altitude training in Poland

March/April 2025 – Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and Mount Lobuche (6,119m)

July 2025 – Mount Muztagata (7,546m)

September/October 2025 – Mount Manaslu (8,163m)

January/February 2026 – Additional Mount Kinabalu climbs (4,095m)

March/May 2026 – Everest Expedition (8,848m)

Kartina’s expedition schedule from October 14 includes nine ascents, each spaced out to test her endurance and inspire her followers:

Flight to Sabah: October 12

Climbs: October 15, 19, 23, 27, 30; November 2, 5, 7, 9

Return to Kuala Lumpur: November 13

This journey not only sets a new benchmark for resilience but also exemplifies how technology and physical achievement can inspire innovation.

Kartina hopes to attract 10,000 new users to her AMB Drag & Drop Mobile Apps Builder Toolkit, accessible via Apps Master Builder and the Malaysian site Apps Mudah Bina.

She is also on a mission to boost AI literacy, showing people how to use AI tools effectively to maximize their potential.

As a single mother of five boys, Kartina’s journey embodies her belief that innovation knows no bounds.

By balancing personal strength, business acumen, and physical endurance, she aims to inspire others to pursue their goals, regardless of life’s challenges.

AMB Academy, Kartina’s brainchild under the registered name AMB Mobile Apps Solutions, is an Accredited Training Provider (ATP) with UTMSpace Services Sdn Bhd, Human Resource Development Corporation (HRDC), and Oxbridge Institute of International Education and Research.

The academy also serves as a training provider under SOCSO’s Program Bina Kerjaya Sektor Tidak Formal 2.0.
