KOTA KINABALU: Api-Api Assemblywoman Datuk Seri Christina Liew has once again reaffirmed her steadfast commitment to advancing education and supporting students in need. Over the years, she has consistently provided financial assistance to pupils from low-income families at Kian Kok Middle School, aiming to ease their financial burdens and inspire their pursuit of academic excellence.
This year, her generosity was extended to two deserving students: Denise Koshy, a 17-year-old in Senior Year II, and Candace Lee, a 14-year-old in Junior Year II. On Thursday, the students gratefully received their support directly from Liew, with school teacher Teh Poh Suan present to accept the contribution on their behalf. The occasion was witnessed by the school’s Secretary, Georgianne Ho Tze Hung.
Both Denise and Candace expressed their sincere gratitude to the Api-Api Assemblywoman for her ongoing concern and encouragement. They shared their aspirations and thanked her for making a tangible difference to their educational journeys.
“Work hard, and I wish you all the very best in your studies and future endeavours,” Liew told the students, urging them to persevere despite any challenges they face.
Her continued dedication exemplifies her commitment to nurturing young minds and creating equitable educational opportunities for all.
