Borneo Culinary Association Sabah and Sarawak Appoints Key Leadership Figures

KOTA KINABALU: The Borneo Culinary Association Sabah and Sarawak has announced the appointment of two prominent industry professionals to key leadership roles.
Chef Romie Nazrul Chua has been named Director of Competition and Event, while Sharil Amir Shariff takes on the role of Director of Learning and Talent Development.
Association President Dion Jee expressed confidence in their appointments, stating, “These appointments reflect our trust in their experience, dedication, and leadership within the association.”
He highlighted that both individuals have shown a strong commitment to elevating professional standards, nurturing talent, and contributing positively to the growth of the organisation and the wider culinary and hospitality sectors.
Dion emphasised that their expertise and passion are expected to further strengthen the association’s programmes, improve the quality of events and competitions, and support the development of emerging talents within the industry.
He urged members and stakeholders to extend their full support and join in congratulating Chef Romie and Sharil on their new roles.
