KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor on Tuesday received a courtesy call from the newly appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sabah Oil & Gas Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (SOGDC), Mohd Azmir Datuk Ramli, at his office in the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (DUN).

Mohd Azmir, who assumed office on 16 September 2025, was previously Head of the Secretariat of the Sabah Logistics Council and also served as Logistics Technical Adviser at the Sabah Ministry of Works.

During the meeting, Hajiji was briefed on SOGDC’s new strategic direction, which places greater emphasis on oil and gas industry services, as well as the latest progress of the Sipitang Oil & Gas Industrial Park (SOGIP).

SOGDC is a wholly owned state government company established to spearhead the development of Sabah’s downstream oil and gas industry, particularly through SOGIP. It also serves as a key government agency in attracting investment and generating employment opportunities within the state.
