Chief Minister Welcomes Collaboration with Petronas

KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor has expressed his openness to further collaboration with Petronas, aiming to enhance Sabah’s participation in the oil and gas industry.


During a meeting with Petronas President and Group Chief Executive, Tan Sri Tengku Muhammad Taufik Tengku Aziz, the Chief Minister was briefed on potential strategic partnerships and the current status of Petronas’s operations within the state.


Tan Sri Tengku Muhammad Taufik also provided an update on Petronas’s ongoing relief efforts to support the State Government in assisting communities affected by recent floods in Sabah.


The Petronas delegation included Executive Vice-President and CEO of Gas & Maritime Business, Datuk Adif Zulkifli; Senior Vice President of Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM), Datuk Bacho Pilong; Vice-President of Group Strategic Relations and Communications, Ir. Norafizal Mat Saad; and several senior officials.
