Christian Community Unity in Gaulan Shines Through

KENINGAU: The spirit of unity and harmony among the residents of Kampung Gaulan was clearly evident when Liawan Assemblyman, Datuk Annuar Ayub Aman, added meaning to the occasion by contributing to the local Catholic community.

Luagan Community Development Officer , Ruddy Gijau, represented Annuar in presenting a donation to the Catholic Community of St. Maria Goretti Church, Kampung Gaulan, as a gesture of support ahead of the upcoming 4-in-1 Celebration scheduled for 12 July.

The celebration will mark four significant events: the 40th Anniversary of St. Maria Goretti Church, the 32nd Anniversary of the Keningau Diocese, the Silver Jubilee of Catechist Victoria Titus, and the Blessing of the Grotto Construction Site, all to be held at the Christian Community Hall (KKD), Kampung Gaulan.

The donation was received by Isabella Liew, Chairperson of the Catholic Community Committee (KUK), at the Liawan People's Development Leadership Unit (UPPM) office.

According to Ruddy, the contribution symbolises resprct and solidarity between leaders and the people, regardless of religious or ethnic background.

"Annuar believes that a strong community is built on mutual respect. Every religion holds humanitarian values and in Liawan, those values are nurtured through action, not just words,” he said.

This inclusive approach reflects Annuar’s leadership philosophy, which consistently prioritises the wellbeing of all citizens, placing the people first and unity as a pillar of strength.
