KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor said that 2026 marks the opening of a new chapter for Sabah to continue moving forward with strong determination and a spirit of unity.
He said the State Government is fully prepared to implement the holistic, inclusive and comprehensive Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) 2.0 development plan to ensure sustained prosperity and a brighter, more competitive future for the state.
“Looking back at 2025, it was a positive year built on a solid foundation of development and consistent progress through the implementation of the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) 1.0 development plan.
“The State Government will continue on this trajectory under the SMJ 2.0 direction by strengthening our commitment to unity, prosperity and inclusive development, so that the progress achieved can be enjoyed fairly by all Sabahans,” he said in his New Year 2026 message here today.
