Community Spirit Shines at SERI Ar-Raudhah’s Heartwarming Ramadan Iftar

SANDAKAN: Ar-Raudhah Islamic (SERI) Primary school in Sandakan held its 1447H / 2026M First Iftar Ceremony, bringing together members of the Management Board (Syura Council), parents, school staff, and alumni in an atmosphere of warmth and blessing.

The event commenced with a Ramadan programme that included a talk delivered by the head teacher of SERI Ar-Raudhah, Al-Fadhil Ustaz Bunyamin Bakri.

He reminded attendees to continue striving to perform good deeds in pursuit of rewards, especially during the last days of Ramadan.

The Chairperson of the SERI Ar-Raudhah Syura Council, Encik Ahdin Sinky, stated that the First Iftar programme is an annual event organised by the school during Ramadan.

He explained that the purpose of the gathering was to unite the entire SERI Ar-Raudhah family in rekindling the tradition of breaking fast together, as well as strengthening ukhuwah (bonds of brotherhood) among the school community, parents, and members of the Syura Council.

The school also expressed gratitude to all parties involved, including the Syura Council, the Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG), teachers, students, and alumni of SERI Ar-Raudhah, for their cooperation and contributions of time, effort, and a variety of buka puasa dishes to ensure the success of the event.Furthermore, heartfelt congratulations and appreciation were extended to the teachers and staff of SERI Ar-Raudhah who worked tirelessly in planning and executing the programme seamlessly and excellently.

The event, held in the school grounds, also featured zikr (remembrance of Allah) and prayer before breaking fast, followed by Maghrib, Isha prayers, and Tarawih prayers in congregation, thereby enhancing the spirit of Ramadan among the school community.
