TELUPID: An Anglican church in Telupid that can accommodate some 1,000 worshippers has been consecrated on Sunday by Bishop of Sabah, the Most Reverend Datuk Melter Jiki Tais.

The church is said to be the most beautiful building in Telupid in particular and in the Sabah Anglican interior missions in general.

It is also equipped with internet facilities and digital devices capable to live stream events organised in the church, especially for churchgoers as they cannot go to the church due to Covid-19 restrictions.

It is also said that the church plans to embark on early childhood educational programmes using English and Chinese as the mediums of instruction.

"Many thanks and praise be to God to all faithful servants of God who have laboured and contributed to the vision, ministry, and realisation of having a beautiful church in Telupid.

"The consecration service was held and merged into the Holy Communion Service attended by a specified number of parishioners allowed with strict compliance to the Covid-19 SOP. Everything is beautiful in God’s time and timing," a statement released by the parish read.
