COVID-19: 95 NEW CASES, 94 RECOVERIES, ONE DEATH IN SABAH

KOTA KINABALU: A total of 95 new Covid-19 cases are registered in Sabah today, bringing the cumulative total of statewide infections to 53,138.
Of the total new cases, Keningau recorded the highest number with 31. followed by Kalabakan (17), Kota Kinabalu (11), Papar (eight), Nabawan (five), Sandakan (five), Tawau (five), Kunak (five), Beluran (three), Putatan (two), Penampang (one), Lahad Datu (one) and Semporna (one).
Along with Tongod, a green zone, that did not record any new case today are Kota Belud, Kudat, Kinabatangan, Ranau, Kota Marudu, Sipitang, Pitas, Tenom, Tuaran, Tambunan, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, and Telupid.
In a statement today, Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun also mentioned one Covid-19 death recorded in Putatan.
"Today, a total of 94 patients have recovered from Covid-19, bringing the recovery toll in Sabah to 51,615.
"A total of 690 active cases are still receiving treatment as of today with 253 in the hospitals, 430 in Quarantine and Low-Risk Treatment Centres, and seven in temporary detention centres," he said.
A total of 31 patients are being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU) with 13 of them ventilated, he added.
