Covid-19: Another day with daily cases below 10,000 in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: The number of nationwide Covid-19 daily cases dropped below the 10,000-mark again today at 8,075, making it the lowest caseload ever recorded after 84 days.


Yesterday, a total of 9,066 new cases were recorded.


Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham said the latest addition push the cumulative total of infections in Malaysia to 2,285,640.


Sarawak and Kelantan reported four-digit cases with 1,189 cases and 1,020 cases, respectively, while other states reported three digits and below, namely Penang (853), Johor (781), Selangor (686), Sabah (677), Terengganu (636), Kedah (628), Perak (548), Pahang (522), Melaka (219), Kuala Lumpur (151), Perlis (36), Putrajaya (19) and Labuan (two).
