On the daily development of COVID-19 cases, he said Sabah recorded 274 new positive cases today, bringing the total cumulative cases to 31,534 and two deaths, in Keningau and Sandakan districts, respectively. Out of the total, 116 cases were due to screening of close contacts in 14 districts, 100 (existing active cluster screening), 36 (symptomatic screening), 12 (community screening) and 10 from other categories.

“A total of 265 recoveries were reported today, bringing the tally to 28,690 recovered cases while 1,857 patients are undergoing treatment with 640 in hospitals, and 1,217 at low-risk quarantine and treatment centres across the state,” he said in a statement here today.

Masidi said 63 COVID-19 cases are being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with 20 of them intubated.
